For Comus Productions founder, Nick Bedu, camerawork and direction are something of a family trait. Inspired by his Rio-based cameraman uncle, Brian Sewell (who's credits include The Blue Planet, The Flight of the Condor and much more), he relocated to South Africa to work for a ratings winning chat show before returning to work in the UK in 1999.
He thus cut his teeth as a researcher for chat shows, music shows and documentaries. Having recently celebrated ten years in television, he is now a producer / director / cameraman and has worked for the following companies either on a contract or freelance basis:
Sky, MTV, LWT, ITV, C4, Princess Productions, London TV, Enteraction TV, The Box and more.
He has worked with / shot interviews with luminaries as diverse as:
Tom Hanks, Tiger Woods, Bill Cosby, Beyonce, David Blaine, Pink, Kelis, Harmony Korine, Colin Murray, Edith Bowman, Sean Paul, Morcheeba, Heather Graham, Ant and Dec, The Chemical Brothers and many more...
In 2005 Nick created Comus Productions, merging his broadcast quality television experience and standards with a passion for visually arresting media for the media and corporate worlds.
Away from it all, Nick's passions lie in film (silent), music (the recorder), sport (synchronised swimming), travelling (1st fully paid up passenger for Virgin space flights) and country breaks. Please ignore all text in brackets!
